1.Sheep

Sheep is one of the domestic animals that belong to the family Bovidae. It is believed that the domestication of the species to place 10.000 years ago in Central Asia. The majority of the sheep was found in China and served as an important source of meat, milk, fat and fleece. It can grow upto 25 to 50 inches in height and weigh approximately 99 to 353 pounds. Talking about the appearance, Sheep is covered with wool that can be soft or fine in quality. Also, it can be short or long, milky white, brown or black-coloured. The avarage lifespan of Sheep is 6 to 12 years.

Doves are one of the amazing animals and have a unique feature to find their home over hundreds, even thousands of kilometres are unrivalled in the animal kingdom. One of the calmest birds in the world, it is believed that training of these birds dates back to 3000 years ago. Doves mate for life and females always lay two eggs at a time. The bird species are prolific breeders where females reach sexual maturity after 7 months. Doves are used as a messenger for thousands of years, particularly during war.

Cranes are social bird species that looks similar to storks and herons, however, they are not genetically related. The smallest known crane species is Demoiselle Crane and the tallest one is Sarus Crane and the heaviest one is Red-crowned Cranes. Talking about the appearance, the species looks olive green, brown, grey-brown or yellowish coloured. Dark blotches are visible on the legs and back and chevron-like marking on the back of the neck and dark patches behind the eyes.

Sloth is one of the weird-looking mammals that can be easily characterized by the slow movement in the trees. As of now, a total of five species of sloths is known that is divided into two groups two-toed and three-toed sloths. One of the calmest animals in the world, grow upto 2 to 2.5 feet long and reach upto 8 to 17 pounds in weight. Giant Panda is one of the lazy and calmest animals that belong to the family of bears. It is mostly seen in the bamboo forest of China, however, the species is on teh verge of extinction because of poaching and loss of natural habitat. Panda is a symbol of peace in China. Chinese used to raise teh flag with a panda on it when they want to call a truce or to stop a battle. The 99% diet of pandas includes Bamboo and they spend approximately 14 to 16 hours per day eating. The teeth of the panda are seven times bigger than humans and it will help in the chewing of bamboo. The avarage lifespan of the panda is 20 years and in captivity, it will live around 25-30 years.

7.Dolphin

Dolphin is one of the most beautiful and calmest animals that belong to the group of aquatic mammals. They can be seen in all oceans of the world, however, some of them live in the freshwater of Asia and South America. It can reach upto 4-30 feet and weigh approximately 90 pounds and 11 tons. The smallest dolphin species is Maui’s and the largest dolphin species is an orca. It has 100 teeth in their mouth but still, they don’t chew their food and used to swallow their prey in one piece. Dolphins are carnivores and smaller ones eat fish and squids. The avarage lifespan of dolphins is 17 years in the wild but there are species that can even live up to 50 years.

Koala re cutes and peaceful animals in the world that belong to the group of Marsupials mostly seen in Australia and loves to thrive in the eucalyptus forests. The population of the species is declining because of habitat loss but still, they aren’t listed in the endangered species. The species spend most of the time in trees and climb with the help of powerful limbs and sharp claws. Koalas are territorial animals and there are few trees that are used as homes and the area covered by these trees is known as the home range. The avarage lifespan of animal species is between 10-14 years in the wild and over 16 years in captivity.

Slow Loris is one of the rarest primates that loves to stay calm and peaceful throughout the day. The closest relative of the species is African bushbabies. By the name, the slow loris is slow but they can travel upto 8 kilometres in one night. The movement pattern of the species is snakelike because it has more spinal vertebra than other primates. A slow loris has the ability to see in close to complete darkness. The second finger of the species is short for gripping and have one of the longest tongues of all the primates and loves to drink nectar.

10.Bull Mastiff

Bull Mastiff is a working dog and it was developed by gamekeepers in England in the 19th century in the year 1860. It was created by mixing Bulldog with English Mastiff. It is also used as a guard dog that can reach upto 24 to 27 inches in height and 100 to 130 pounds of weight. It is used to calmest animals most of the time but at the same time, it is a courageous, confident, independent and stubborn dog. It is a moderately active dog and it requires few short walks per day. The average lifespan of species is 8 to 10 years in the wild.
